Inside-Out in Ohio has been growing enormously in the past five years. Inside-Out has the official support of the former Director of the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, Ernie Moore. This means that Ohio is unique in its ability to spread quickly throughout the state. Inside-Out in Ohio is currently being taught through the following institutions:
Xavier University/Lebanon Correctional, Criminal Justice
Ohio University/Hocking Correctional, Sociology
College of Wooster/Indian River, Sociology
Ohio State University/Southeastern Correctional Institution, Sociology
University of Toledo/Toledo Correctional Institution
Miami University Middletown/TBD, Criminal Justice
What's so exciting about this is that Inside-Out has the ability to grow enormously in Ohio, and to create dynamic partnerships between the various colleges and universities, as well as providing access to higher education in such a large variety of prisons.
